49th Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
Dear Clearwater Holiday Lighted Boat Parade Past Participant,
Thank you for participating in the best Christmas lighted boat parade on Florida's Gulf Coast! We are excited to announce the 49th Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade will be Saturday, December 9th this year!
Our goal is to make the parade bigger and better each year. This year we are adding new features that include having Santa for a launch at the Papaya Street Plaza on Clearwater Beach and FOX13 News Anchor, Laura Moody, aboard Andiamo as this year's Grand Marshal! The Plaza is at the corner of East Shore Drive and Papaya Street on North Beach next door to the new Courtyard by Marriott on the Mandalay Channel. With Santa ashore and Laura Moody aboard Andiamo, we will fire a signal cannon and a flare into the sky to kick off the Parade at 6:30 pm. The City of Clearwater will also have a viewing area ready with food trucks and more at the newly completed Coachman's Park!
Best of all, we are pleased to announce our cooperation with the Boys & Girls Club of Pinellas County. Clearwater Yacht Club will be donating the net proceeds from the Parade as scholarships for several kids to attend sailing camps at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center. We are not charging for registration this year! Instead, all proceeds will come from sponsorships only. The more sponsors we have, the more kids we can send to camp! If you cannot register your boat this year, please consider supporting the sponsorship efforts for the kids.
We look forward to you registering again this year. If you have any questions, feel free to reach us at CYCBoatParade@gmail.com. Together, let us make this year the best Clearwater Holiday Lighted Boat Parade ever! Regards, CYC Boat Parade Committee Our website is now updated with the registration and sponsorship forms, route map, and Captains Meeting information. We live on Windward Island and the back of our house faces Coachman Park. Is there any way that the parade route could bring the boats closer to us before they head over to Coachman Park? It is such a wonderful event.
